Two men who were arrested following reports of a high value shoplifting offence in Northwich have now been charged.
Flaviu Naghi, 33, and George Udila, 22, were both arrested on Tuesday 13 February following reports of an attempted shoplifting offence at a supermarket on Manchester Road.
Following questioning Naghi, of Ashburnham Road, Luton, has been charged with three counts of theft from a shop, going equipped for theft and possession of class A drugs (Cocaine).
He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday 15 February.
Udila, Of Rugby Road, Leigh, has been charged with driving without a licence, handling stolen goods and driving without insurance.
He has been released on bail and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday 19 April.
