Update - Sadly officers searching for a missing woman from Poynton have found a body in Hadfield, Derbyshire.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but it believed to be that of Sylvia Sharples.
Her family have been made aware and we request for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.

Police are appealing for information from the public to help find a missing woman From Poynton.
Sylvia Sharples has not been seen since she left her home on foot at around 1.30pm on Saturday 5 December.
The 63-year-old has dementia and can become confused.
Sylvia is white, around 5’ 8” tall with a medium build and has blonde hair.
When she was last seen she was wearing a brown quilted hooded coat, a pink woolly hat and jeans; she was also carrying a white handbag.
Officers are urging anyone who sees Sylvia or has any information regarding her whereabouts to come forward.
Inspector Julien Culham said: “A number of officers have been searching for Sylvia, so far to no avail, and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.
“She has dementia and we are keen to locate her before the weather deteriorates overnight.
“I urge anyone in or around Poynton who thinks that they may have seen Sylvia since she went missing to get in touch with us.
“The same goes for anyone with information regarding her whereabouts, or CCTV or dashcam footage of her since left her home on foot this afternoon.
“I would also ask residents living in the area also urged to check any sheds or outbuildings in case Sylvia has taken shelter.”
Anyone with information or footage that may help officers find Sylvia is asked to call Cheshire Constabulary immediately on 101, quoting IML 866858.
