Throughout the year, Ecclesiastical’ s Movement for Good cause will give monetary donations to different charities based on nominations from the public. These nominations build up throughout the year, and the more we get the greater chance we have of winning. Once you have nominated the Hospice in 2023, you don’t need to nominate us again. Could you be a Dementia Companion?

We are looking to expand our wonderful team of community companions who spend some regular time visiting a person with dementia. This is usually a weekly meet-up and is all about companionship – it may involve popping in for a coffee and a chat or going out for a walk – it is entirely up to the volunteer and the patient what they do, whatever they both enjoy! This also benefits their carer by giving them a little break. We have a waiting list of people who would love a companion and so are looking to expand our volunteer team in this area.
