Corinne Worswick, a care assistant in Wilmslow, has gone above and beyond to enable her client to be at her Granddaughter’s wedding in Buckinghamshire.
Being a care assistant enables compassionate people to make a genuine difference to the lives of their elderly clients. A great example of this happened recently at the Carefound Home Care office in Wilmslow when Corinne Worswick, a care assistant, went above and beyond to ensure her client could be at her Granddaughter’s wedding.
Lady Joy Winstanley, aged 93, lives in Macclesfield and was unable to travel to Buckinghamshire alone. Instead of her missing the wedding, Corinne offered to be available on her day off and accompany Lady Winstanley for the day.
Vicky Winstanley, Granddaughter of Lady Joy Winstanley, said:
“It was so special having Grandma at the wedding and it would not have been possible without the amazing Corinne assisting her and Carefound Home Care organising it.”
“Corinne was such a great help getting Grandma dolled up, bringing her from Macclesfield to Buckinghamshire with a driver, attending the wedding and taking her home after the meal. It was lovely to have her there too, she got on with the family so well and slotted right in.”
“Thanks to Corinne and Carefound Home Care for making my big day even more special!”
Kellie Swindells, Recruitment & Community Manager at Carefound Home Care in Wilmslow, said:
“This is such a lovely example by Corinne of doing everything she can to ensure the wellbeing of her client and I know it made a huge difference to Lady Winstanley and her family.”
“At Carefound Home Care it’s really important to us that we recognise our carers for what they do and I’m delighted that Corinne has been put forward as a finalist for our company P.L.A.T.O Awards which celebrate our carers going above and beyond in demonstrating our values - Personalised, Local, Accountable, Together, Outstanding.”
