Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a fail to stop collision near Middlewich.
At 6pm on Sunday 18th January, police were called to a collision on the A533, Bostock Road in Stanthorne.
Officers attended and found that a pedal cyclist had been hit by a car, believed to be a black Mercedes or a black BMW, which failed to stop at the scene.
The cyclist, a 16-year-old local boy, was injured as a result of the incident and taken to Leighton Hospital.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are appealing for information from the public.
PC James Lasok-Smith, of the Road and Crime Unit, said:
“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to please get in touch with us. This occurred at a busy road when there would have been a lot of traffic in the area.
“The same goes for anyone with any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident."
