Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a burglary at a retail store in Northwich town centre.
At around 3.20am on Monday 9 May, two unknown men smashed a door at the front of Boots, Witton Street, and forced entry into the store.
Once inside the pair forced open a number of locked display cabinets and stole bottles of men’s aftershave. They then left the store via the front entrance.
After leaving the store, the pair walked down Witton Street, before turning onto Crown Street, towards the Swinging Witch.
Both offenders were wearing dark clothing and baseball caps. One of the men was also carrying a green plastic carrier bag.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and detectives are keen to hear from anyone with any information.
Detective Constable Claire Heatley, who is leading the investigation said:
“Enquiries in relation to this incident are in the early stages and we’re doing all we can to identify the people responsible.
“As part of the investigation we’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the offence or seen anything suspicious in the area.
“We would also ask other businesses in the area to check their CCTV footage to see if there is anything which may aid our investigation.
“We’re also keen to hear from anyone who believes they may have been offered any of the stolen items, the men specifically targeted the Paco Rabanne 1 Million, Diesel and Boss aftershave.”
