Detectives investigating an assault at a pub in Winsford have released a CCTV image of a man they are looking to speak to.
The victim stated that they had visited the Hive in Winsford with friends on Friday 31 May.
While they were at the pub, the 31-year-old man was assaulted by an unknown man who punched him in the face as he was leaving the toilet.
As a result of the incident the victim suffered multiple fractures to his cheek and eye socket.
Enquiries in relation to the incident have been ongoing and now investigating officers have released CCTV images of a man they are looking to identify.
Detective Constable Kelly Mitchell, of Northwich CID, said:
“The victim in this case sustained serious injuries, so we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident itself take place or has any information that may aid our investigation.
“We would also like to directly appeal to the man in the CCTV images, as we believe that he may have vital information that may aid us in our enquiries.”
