We hope as many local people as possible can join us in the park for our flagship event of the year long 750 celebrations. We are putting together an action-packed programme for visitors to enjoy. Festival goers will have the chance to watch twice World Champions the Knights of Nottingham perform dazzling jousting displays and a breath-taking free flying falconry demonstration. Little ones can join in medieval craft making and take part in the Dragon Quest, plus meet Dreygo the big red Dragon! There will be something for everyone with live medieval music, food & drink stalls and much more!”
All arena acts will be repeated, a timetable for the day will be published nearer to the time. A full event programme will be available to purchase for just £1 and one lucky visitor will have the chance to win £100 if they purchase the lucky numbered programme.
The town council are looking for more people to join the team of helpers already stepped forward including volunteers from Congleton Rotary. Rachel McCarthy, Congleton Town Council’s Town Centre and Events Officer: “We are expecting thousands to flock to Congleton Park to join in the medieval fun, so we could do with a few more helpers to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day. There will be a variety of roles to fill and people can give as much or as little of their time as they can.”
