Congleton Town Council is inviting local community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations to apply for funding through its Grants Scheme.
Application deadlines are approaching for the February and March 2026 Finance and Policy Committee meetings.
Grant applications will be considered at the Finance and Policy Committee meeting on 26 February 2026, with a submission deadline of 9 February 2026. For groups unable to meet this deadline, a further opportunity is available ahead of the 26 March 2026 meeting, with applications required by 16 March 2026.
The Grants Scheme supports a wide range of community-led projects that benefit residents of Congleton. Applications are discussed at the Finance and Policy Committee, which is a public meeting, with all agenda papers published on the town council’s website in advance.
Congleton Town Mayor, Cllr Robert Brittain, said:
“Our Grants Scheme plays an important role in supporting the fantastic work being carried out by community groups and charities across Congleton. Whether you’re delivering social activities, health and wellbeing projects, or initiatives that bring people together, we encourage organisations to apply and take advantage of this opportunity.”
The positive impact of the scheme can be seen through recent awards, including a £1,000 grant to No Tier Snooker, recognising the group’s outstanding work supporting people living with early onset dementia and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). Meeting weekly at Congleton Snooker Club, No Tier Snooker provides a safe, welcoming environment where participants can enjoy snooker, friendship, and social connection.
Congleton Town Council is keen to hear from other local organisations delivering meaningful projects and services within the community.
Further grant funding will be available during the 2026/27 financial year.
Grant applications must be submitted at least 10 days before the committee meeting.
