Detectives from Congleton CID have charged a man following reports of a sexual assault in the town.
Raheem Rahman was arrested on Monday 23 January following reports that a 15-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted.
The 22-year-old of Andrew Mulligan Close, Tunstall, has since been charged with two counts of rape and one count of grooming.
Rahman has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court later today, Wednesday 25 January.
