Officers investigating a collision in Crewe are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
At around 6pm on Monday 20 May, police were called to reports of a collision at the junction of Earle Street and Queen Street.
The collision involved a pedestrian and a silver Mercedes. The driver stopped at the scene.
The pedestrian, a 72-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. She remains in hospital at this time.
Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident and officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to get in touch with them.

“This collision occurred at a busy time of day so we are urging any witnesses to contact us.
“We are also asking anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident to make contact.
