Officers are appealing for information from the public as part of ongoing efforts to tackle anti-social and dangerous riding of e-bikes in Winsford.
Over recent weeks, there have been several reports of Surron e-bikes being ridden dangerously in the town and surrounding areas endangering both the riders of the bikes themselves and other road users. The riders wear face coverings in an effort to hide their identity.
Inspector Paul Heatley, of Northwich Local Policing Unit, said:
“The behaviour of these riders is not only illegal, but also dangerous and could cause a serious accident.
“To help us stop this, I’d urge anyone who sees these bikes being ridden in an anti-social and dangerous manner around Winsford to contact police and provide as much detail as possible.
“If you have dash cam footage, please share this with us so that we can find those responsible. The same goes for anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage.
“I’d also urge anyone who has any information on those riding these bikes dangerously to get in touch.
“The more information we have, the more we can do to deter this dangerous behaviour.”
