BUXTON OPERA HOUSE ANNOUNCES EXCITING LINEUP FOR AUTUMN SEASON

Buxton Opera House has unveiled an exciting new lineup across its upcoming autumn season, bringing an eclectic mix of drama, hit comedy, live music, opera, and family entertainment to both the historic Opera House and the Pavilion Arts Centre.

Headline theatrical highlights this autumn and winter include the hilarious hit West End comedy The Last Laugh (Tue 25 – Sat 29 Aug), alongside the Olivier Award-winning adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic romance Pride & Prejudice* (*sort of) (Mon 5 – Sat 10 Oct).

Opera lovers will welcome the return of English Touring Opera with an exceptional repertoire of Gluck’s Orpheus & Eurydice (Fri 23 Oct) and a double bill of Elena Langer’s Ariadne and Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas (Sat 24 Oct).

Families can look forward to enchanting productions including The Princess & The Frog (Sat 12 – Wed 23 Dec) and the theatre’s magical festive pantomime Sleeping Beauty (Fri 4 Dec – Sat 2 Jan).

Looking further ahead, audiences can also catch a glimpse of what is to come in 2027, with major productions already announced including the smash-hit comedy The Full Monty (Mon 29 Mar – Sat 3 Apr) and the gripping stage adaptation of The Silence of the Lambs (Mon 17 – Sat 22 May).

Comedy programming for the Autumn season includes shows from John Cleese, Al Murray, Phil Wang, Dylan Moran, Paul Merton and Suki Webster, Flo & Joan, and Chris Ramsey.

Alongside these, both venues will continue to offer a vibrant variety of live music, spoken word, and independent theatre, complemented by popular regular fixtures such as the intimate Coffee Concerts and Buxton Buzz Comedy Club both on the first Friday of the month at the Pavilion Arts Centre.
