The team at NFU Mutual Macclesfield has donated £7,899 through the NFU Mutual Agency Giving Fund, recognising the vital role the charity plays in supporting rural communities where access to critical care can be challenging.
Since the beginning of the year, the charity has attended more than 340 incidents in Cheshire, following over 550 incidents across the county in 2025.
Operating across some of the region's most remote areas, NWAA's critical care teams bring enhanced pre-hospital care directly to patients when every second counts, delivering hospital-level treatment at the scene of life-threatening incidents.
Nicholas Cooper from NFU Mutual Macclesfield said: " We’re extremely proud to have nominated North West Air Ambulance Charity (NWAA) for this donation and are delighted to be able to support the vital contribution they make to our community. The purpose of NFU Mutual’s Agency Giving Fund is to support local frontline charities who are providing essential services to people in our community, and our agency felt that NWAA was a very deserving cause to champion."
The donation will help NWAA continue providing advanced critical care to patients across Cheshire, where distance and geography can make rapid access to specialist treatment particularly important.
Danny Daynes, Fundraising Manager at NWAA, said:
"A heartfelt thank you to NFU Mutual Macclesfield Branch and all their members who have chosen North West Air Ambulance Charity to benefit from the NFU Mutual Agency Giving Fund this year with a donation of £7,899. This remarkable contribution could fund our Blood on Board service for almost one whole month, ensuring that every one of our helicopters and critical care vehicles carries lifesaving blood products when they are needed most.
"With our crews called out an average of 11 times every day, this vital intervention can make all the difference to a patient's recovery and, ultimately, their chance of returning home to their loved ones. Thank you for helping us be there when every second counts."
North West Air Ambulance Charity serves more than eight million people across Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside. Operating a fleet of helicopters and critical care vehicles, the charity's highly skilled crews respond to some of the most serious incidents, including cardiac arrests, road traffic collisions, falls and medical emergencies.
Every mission is made possible through charitable donations, with the organisation relying entirely on the generosity of supporters to continue delivering its lifesaving service.
