Police have released a CCTV image of three men they would like to speak to in relation to a theft at a supermarket in Macclesfield.
At 4.12pm on Friday 21st March three men went into Sainsbury’s in Cumberland Street and took three shopping bags which they then put a significant amount of Gillet and Nicorette products which they stole from the shelves.
They then forced their way out of the store through the no exit barriers. When challenged by a security guard they assaulted him and fled on foot in the direction of Westminster Road.
PC Callum Burness said:
“We are dedicated to tackling retail crime and protecting staff from violence in the workplace. We have been carrying out a number of enquiries to find those responsible, including checking CCTV, and I would urge anyone who recognises the men in the CCTV image to contact us so that we can progress with our investigation.”
