Two men who were involved in a violent altercation in Winsford have been sentenced.
Dionisio Belo and Gerson Cabreirs were both sentenced at Chester Crown Court on Thursday 27th November.
Belo, 30, of Bradbury Road in Winsford and Cabreirs, 31, of Bradbury Road in Winsford, were both sentenced to 21 months in prison, suspended for two years.
Both men were also ordered to complete 200 hours unpaid work in the next 12 months.
The pair had earlier pleaded guilty to violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
On Tuesday 29th April 2025, police received multiple reports of a large-scale disturbance on Bradbury Road, Winsford.
Callers reported how the men were armed with metal bars, baseball bats, bricks and snooker cues.
There were also reports of people chasing each other in vehicles along Bradbury Road.
Officers flooded the scene and following enquiries Belo and Cabreirs were arrested in relation to the incidents.
At least three people were injured as a result of the altercation.
Following questioning both men were both charged in relation to the incident.
Following the sentencing, Inspector Paul Heatley, of Northwich Local Policing Unit said:
“Incidents of this nature are rare in Winsford area, and the behaviour of Belo and Cabreirs that day caused panic across the local community.
“Their actions left residents terrified, fearing for their safety in their own homes, the one place they should be able to feel safe.
“Thankfully, as a result of the team here at Northwich, Belo and Cabreirs, were quickly identified as key players in the disorder and the pair were swiftly arrested and charged.
“The overwhelming evidence against the men left them with no option but to plead guilty to the charges against them, and they have now been held accountable for their actions."
