Macclesfield Male Voice Choir were very much looking forward to re-starting concerts and events from late June. However, they have had to re-think their diary after the recent postponement of the lifting of the existing Covid restrictions.
Whilst they are very disappointed for the enforced delay of advertised dates, it does give an opportunity for further rehearsal!
The new date for their short 'Welcome Back' concert is Saturday 24th July, now to be held at St. Michael's Church, Market Place Macclesfield at 19.30. All are welcome at this free of charge event which will replace the previously advertised concert.
Under its new branding - MaccMVC, the choir hope to recruit new members and get more involved with encouraging choral singing in the town and the East Cheshire area. To this end, their planned 'Open Day' event will now be on the later date of Saturday 7th August at Macclesfield Methodist Church, Westminster Road. This is also a free event, so if you. or anyone you know, ever thought about singing, why not give it a go and go along and join in from 14.00 to 16.00. With the choir's motto of 'Friendship through Song' a warm welcome will be offered.
