Officers are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a collision in Alsager.
At around 5.15pm on Tuesday 2nd December, police were called to a collision on Lawton Road, near to Alsager Pharmacy.
Officers attended the scene and found that there had been a collision between a black pedal cycle and a red Toyota Yaris.
The cyclist, a 10-year-old boy, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Alder Hey Hospital by air Ambulance. His injuries are not believed to be life changing.
The driver of the car was uninjured. The 51-year-old from Crewe was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving. He has since been release under investigation pending further enquiries.
Sergeant Pete Mcloughlin, of the Roads and Crime Unit at Cheshire Police said:
“Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and we’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.
“The same goes for anyone who may have any CCTV or dashcam footage which could aid our Investigation.”
