Officers from Northwich are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a fail to stop collision in Sandiway.
At approximately 8.10pm on Sunday 15 September a grey Nissan Micra travelling on the A556 towards Chester was involved in a collision with a dark 4 x 4 at the junction of Dalefords Lane, near to DeFine Wine.
The occupants of the 4 x 4 initially stopped at the scene and checked the driver of the Micra, before getting back into their car and driving off towards Whitegate.
As a result of the collision the driver of the Micra, a 68-year-old woman from Oakmere, sustained serious injuries. She was taken to hospital, and has since been discharged.
Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers are keen to hear from anyone with information which may assist their investigation.
PC Jones, of Northwich Local Policing Unit, said: “The driver of the Micra sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and we are keen to do all that we can to trace the driver of the second vehicle.
“Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any other information which may help our investigation.
“I’d also like to hear from any drivers with dashcam footage who were driving on A556 around the time of the incident occurred.”
