Detectives investigating an armed robbery at a post office in Winsford have released a CCTV image of a man they are looking to speak to.
At around 8.38am on Saturday 18 December two men entered the post office on Swanlow Lane.
The pair, who were armed with knives, threatened staff and demanded money from behind the counter.
The men, who were both wearing dark clothing, stole a quantity of cash from the till before fleeing the store on foot, travelling towards The Old Star public house.
Enquiries in relation to the incident have been ongoing and as part of the ongoing investigation, officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they are looking to identify.
Detective Constable Stacey Connor, of Northwich CID, said: “Enquiries in relation to this incident have been ongoing since the robbery and we are committed to doing all that we can to identify the people responsible.
“As part of our ongoing investigation we are keen to identify the man in the CCTV image as we believe that he may be able to help with our enquiries.
“If you think you recognise the man, or have any information in relation to the incident, I urge you to contact the team here at Northwich.
“I would also like to appeal directly to the man in the CCTV image to get in touch to help us progress with our investigation.”
Anyone with any information, no matter how small, is asked to contact Cheshire Police via https://www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or on 101, quoting IML 1158721.
Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
Two local men were arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection to the incident earlier this year. One of the men, aged 29, remains on police bail and the second man has since been released without charge.
