Generous contractors donate Christmas tree to Macclesfield Hospital

A construction company that works closely with East Cheshire NHS Trust has generously donated a Christmas tree to Macclesfield Hospital for the second-year running.

City Build have worked on numerous projects at the Trust over recent years including the Elective Treatment Centre and the refurbishment of the Accident and Emergency Department.

The donated tree is just outside the main entrance of Macclesfield District General Hospital and was lit this week at a ceremony attended by Ged Murphy, Chief Executive, Aislinn O’Dwyer, Chair, Rob Few, Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities and Toby Rexstraw, Director at City Build.

Andrew Field, Business Manager at City Build, said:

“We’re very pleased to support Macclesfield Hospital again this year.

“City Build has been delivering projects at the hospital for several years, and during that time we’ve built strong relationships with both the Estates and Capital teams, and the wider Trust.

“Donating the Christmas tree is a small way for us to give something back and to show our appreciation for the fantastic work done by everyone at ECT, especially at this time of year.

“As a business, we always aim to deliver meaningful social value in the communities where we work, and we feel that contributing to Trust’s Christmas celebrations is a positive way to support staff, patients, and visitors.”
