A man from Macclesfield has been charged with multiple offences.
Nathan Machin, of Earlsway in Macclesfield, was arrested on Sunday 7th December 2025.
The 34-year-old has since been charged with rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault by beating and using threatening and abusive words or behaviour.
These relate to incidents involving one female victim between September and December 2025.
Machin has also been charged with attempted section 18 assault, criminal damage, and assault by beating of an emergency worker.
These relate to assaults on police officers at Middlewich Custody Suite on Sunday 7 December.
Machin appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 9th December 2025, where he was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday 6th January 2026.
