A man who was arrested following a police stop check in Prestbury has now been charged.
At around 3.15pm on Monday 19th January officers from Macclesfield Local Policing Unit were on patrol in Prestbury when they stopped a silver Volkswagen Tiguan on Shirleys Drive.
A quantity of class A drugs were located in the vehicle and a large amount of cash was seized following a warrant at a nearby address.
The occupants of the car, a 58-year-old man and 59-year-old woman, both from Macclesfield, were both arrested at the scene.
Following questioning Paul Gostelow, of Duke Street, Macclesfield, has now been charged with possession with intent to su[ply class A drugs (cocaine)
He appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday 21st January where he was remanded in police custody. He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday 4 March.
The 59-year-old woman has been released on conditional bail until 19th April 2026.
