Change of circumstances:
You must tell us about any change in your circumstances that may affect your Council Tax so we can make sure your Council Tax is right, including a change of address or a name change.
Where the change might affect how much Council Tax you pay, you might pay too much if you don’t tell us immediately. Or you might not pay enough, and have to pay the extra later all in one go.

On 3 February the government announced measures to help protect millions of households from rising energy costs, in the form of an energy rebate.
It will see eligible households in England in Council Tax Bands A-D properties, receive a £150 energy rebate payment from their council from April this year.
If you're eligible for a rebate and have a direct debit set up with us, you will be able to receive this more efficiently, as the rebate will be automatically transferred into your account. Otherwise you will have to make a claim.
We are, therefore, encouraging any residents who can, to sign up for a direct debit as the quickest and easiest way to pay Council Tax and receive the energy rebate.
A similar scheme will be available for residents in Council Tax bands E – H who receive council tax support or other income related benefits. More information on this discretionary policy, alongside details of how to apply, can be found on this page on our website.
More information on the rebate, and how to set up a direct debit, can be found here on our website.
