Detectives from Northwich and Chester CID have charged two men and a woman from Winsford with kidnap.
Stephen Smart, 53, of High Street, Winsford, was arrested on Tuesday 20 June. James McQuoid, 29, of Saxon Crossway, Winsford, and Alisha Sunderland, 34, of Alamein Drive, Winsford, were arrested on Wednesday 21 June.
All three have been charged with kidnap in relation to an incident in the Elton area of Chester where a man is alleged to have been forced into a car.
Smart was also charged with section 18 assault and robbery.
Smart appeared at Chester Magistrates court on Thursday 22 June, with McQuoid and Sunderland appearing on Saturday 24 June.
Smart and McQuoid were remanded in custody, while Sunderland was released on conditional bail.
All three are set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Thursday 20 July.
