Two men from Northwich have been jailed following a series of burglaries at businesses across the town.
Bradley Davies, 34, of Victoria Road, Northwich, was sentenced to six months in prison at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday 18 October after he admitted four counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.
Andrew Davies, 44, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday 19 October where he was also sentenced to six months pleaded guilty to one count of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.
During the hearings the courts were told that Bradley’s offences began on Thursday 12 October when he broke into bar on Moss Farm.
Then, in the early hours of Sunday 15 October both Bradley and Andrew broke into a drive thru coffee shop in Lostock Gralam, before attempting to break into a nearby sandwich store.
Overnight between 15 and 16 October, Bradley also broke into a pub on London Road.
Finally on Tuesday 17 October, Bradley broke into the bar at Moss Farm for the second time.
Between them the pair stole approximately £300 from the businesses, along the costs of the damage caused when breaking into the premises.
Their downfall came after officers investigating the case recognised them on the CCTV footage.
Following the hearing, Polive Constable Dean Butterworth, said:
“I welcome the sentence handed to Bradley and Andrew and I hope that the swift conclusion of this case will provide some closure for the businesses involved.
“I also hope that these convictions will provide some reassurance for the local community, demonstrating that we are committed to ensuring that those responsible for crimes in our town are held accountable for their actions.”
