Please be aware that in line with national guidance related to COVID-19 (coronavirus), further restricted visiting hours and visitor numbers have been introduced at Macclesfield Hospital with immediate effect.
This is to reduce footfall and minimise the risk of transmission, which is good practice at this time.
Visiting on all wards is now restricted to one hour between 2pm and 3pm and limited to one visitor per bed. Visiting is not permitted by the over 70s or children under 12. In exceptional circumstances variations may be possible but only with the express agreement of the senior nurse in charge of the ward/department.
In addition, an isolation area on Ward 11 is currently closed to all visitors apart from exceptions agreed with the senior nurse in charge of the ward/department.
These important measures will help ensure the safety of patients and visitors and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
Further information about the national restrictions can be found here. General information about coronavirus is available via the NHS website - www.nhs.uk and www.gov.uk
