Families, friends, and community members are invited to join the Town Mayor and Ruby’s for a Winter Walk at Astbury Mere on Tuesday 18th February, from 11am to 1pm.
This fun and inclusive event is organised to support Ruby’s vital work and promises to be a fun day for all.
The walk will stroll around the beautiful lake at Astbury Mere, with interactive and fun activities along the way. Drop into the Visitor Centre for fun crafts, or have a go in Ruby’s sensory bus.
After the walk, families are encouraged to continue the fun over at Ruby’s Café and soft play area, where delicious treats and refreshments will be available to purchase.
Ruby’s is proud to be one of the town mayor’s chosen charities for the year. The Town Mayor, Cllr Kay Wesley is a passionate advocate for the work Ruby’s does to support the community, and shared her excitement about the event: “The Winter Walk is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, enjoy the great outdoors, and support the incredible work Ruby’s does. I’m proud to have Ruby’s as one of my charities this year and look forward to seeing our town unite for such a meaningful cause.”
This event is designed to be inclusive, ensuring that everyone can participate. Disabled parking will be available to accommodate all who need it.
While donations to Ruby’s are encouraged to help sustain their valuable work, they are not essential. Participation in the Winter Walk is free, and every step taken will help raise awareness of Ruby’s mission to support the community.
