17-year-old found in possession of £2,000, heroin and crack cocaine at Crewe station

A 17-year-old boy stopped by British Transport Police’s (BTP) County Lines Taskforce at Crewe railway station has been arrested after being found in possession of £2,000, heroin and crack cocaine.

The boy was stopped by officers at 12.27pm on Saturday (13 February) and subsequently searched.

He was found to be in possession of £2,000 in cash and a travel card in someone else’s name before being arrested on suspicion of money laundering and possessing an article for use in fraud.

At custody, he was found to be in possession of heroin and crack cocaine and further arrested for possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

The boy has been referred to the National Referral Mechanism for Safeguarding and released on bail.
