A primary school near Middlewich has closed, until next Tuesday (March 17), following two suspected coronavirus cases.
The Executive Head Teacher of Wimboldsley Community Primary School in Cheshire, Mrs Moira Atkins, has announced that the school has closed to allow for a deep clean.
Posting on the school's website yesterday, she said:
Due to a parent and a member of staff having a suspected case of Coronavirus, the decision has been made to close the school until Tuesday following a deep clean. Please make arrangements to collect your child/ren at your earliest convenience. Work will be placed onto the class pages of the website for children to access whilst they are not in school. The decision will be regularly reviewed and we will keep in touch via the website. If your child/ren develops any symptoms, please isolate for 7 days and please keep school informed.
As an emergency contact please use: exechead@wimboldsley.cheshire.sch.uk
At school we constantly remind children to take their time to wash their hands and dispose of their tissues into the bin. Please encourage your child/ren at home to continue with this process.
Following the Government Cobra meeting on Thursday 12th March, if your child has a persistent cough or a high temperature, please isolate for 7 days and inform the school office.
