The Bunbury Village Day Team are very happy to announce their Guest of Honour.
The Guest of Honour, on 17 June, will be John BromleyDavenport - a successful lawyer, actor, public speaker and author of Space Has No Frontier, a biography of Sir Bernard Lovell, the great astronomer and founder of the Jodrell Bank Observatory, who was described by Patrick Moore as "The Isaac Newton of radio astronomy."

We will also be joined by the team from Xplore Science Discovery Centre, Dr Jacco can Loon from Keele Observatory and local astronomy groups as well as characters from some of our favourite space films courtesy of The Endon Stormtroopers and The Dragon Order.
Alongside his legal career John Bromley Davenport has become known on both sides of the Atlantic for his solo adaptations of A Christmas Carol and Three Men in a Boat, as well as writing articles for The Daily Telegraph and The Times.
His book, Space Has No Frontier: The Terrestrial Life and Times of Sir Bernard Lovell is an exploration of Lovell's life and achievements in the scientific and political context of the time The extraordinary life of Bernard Lovell began before World War I and his story encompasses many of the great events of the last 100 years: World War II, the invention of radio astronomy, the space race, the Moon landings, the exploration of the solar system, the Cold War, the Cuban missile crisis, and the defence of Britain against nuclear attack. The great radio telescope which Lovell built became and remains one of the most important scientific instruments in the world. The Jodrell Bank Observatory and the Lovell Telescope have held their place at the frontier of research.
