Congleton Park will play host to a special celebration on Sunday 7th July, from 12pm to 4pm, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Britain in Bloom competition.
This exciting event, organised by Congleton in Bloom, Congleton Lions, and Friends of Congleton Park, promises a day filled with fun, community spirit, and horticultural delight.
Cllr David Brown, Chair of Congleton in Bloom said:
“The whole community is invited to this free event, we have lots of wonderful things planned to celebrate the RHS in Bloom 60th birthday. It will be a fantastic opportunity for the town to come together and celebrate the beauty and success of Congleton’s horticultural efforts. We hope as many people as possible will join us for a memorable day of family-friendly fun and community pride.”
David continues:
“Highlights of the event will include free family activities, visitors can expect garden displays, community stalls, mini workshops, and children’s activities. Pack a picnic or purchase delicious refreshments from Stocks at The Pavilion. Don’t miss an exceptional performance by the Lions Youth Brass Band from 1pm to 3pm at the bandstand.”
The celebration comes just ahead of an important date for Congleton.
