Cheshire East Partnership has launched a new video to help people learn about their work and bring their vision to life.
The Cheshire East Partnership Five-Year Plan sets out how local authority, health, care and other public sector and voluntary sector organisations are working together to enable people to live well for longer, to live more independently and to enjoy the place where they live.
The plan was shaped by conversations with the community and with health and care partners across the borough. The new video will help people understand the plan and the work of the partnership.
Dr Steven Michael OBE, the Partnership’s Independent Chair said, “Cheshire East is a lovely place to live, work and visit with great economic opportunities on the horizon but is not without its challenges. There are health and social inequalities across the area and we want to make it easy as possible for people to access services which meet their needs to help them to stay fit and healthy and for those who struggle, to support them to be as well as they can be. It is only by services working together that we can achieve this.”
Cheshire East currently provides services to around 384,000 people and is expected to increase over the next decade. The arrival of the HS2 project is likely to bring more working age families to the area and at the same time, the number of older people is expected to grow. These changes will change the demand for health and wellbeing services.
Steven added, “We know it is important to bring the Five Year Plan to life and to explain what we are working towards and how local residents can benefit from services that are wrapped around them to improve their overall health and wellbeing.
