Officers have secured a closure order following reports of drug abuse and anti-social behaviour at a property in Crewe.
The address on Mavor Court has been shut down by officers from Crewe Beat Team who secured the closure order under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday 24th October.
The order will run for three months and is the result of an investigation by officers following concerns about anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity.
The occupant of the property has been ordered to leave and find alternative accommodation, with all windows and doors being secured for the closure period.
Anyone who enters the address during that time will be committing a criminal offence and could be arrested.
Sergeant Joel Buckle said:
"I hope that this closure brings some peace to the residents of Mavor Court and reassures them that we care about their concerns, listen to their feedback and act on the information provided to us.
“Closures such as these could not be possible without the valuable input of residents, the local authority, housing associations and private landlords. We work alongside our partners to respond in the most robust yet appropriate manner and are committed to making Crewe as safe as possible for its residents.”
