Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity are inviting children between the ages of 4 and 11 years of age to get creative and design an Easter picture from their downloadable sheet.
They can colour in the one provided or create their own picture and say why it is important to take part and help local children.
The competition is to raise money for their current appeal which will fund the creation of a separate, child friendly space within the main waiting area at Victoria Infirmary in Northwich. It will also fund a high-tech interactive projector, sensory play wall fixed activity units and other additional extras to improve care experience for people using services there.
To enter each picture is a £5 donation and there are lots of prizes to be won including a Galaxy Smart watch and a £50 Amazon voucher. Special guest judges include local Northwich Artist Jim Stanley, Current World & European Trampoline Champion Double Olympic Medallist Bryony Page and Victoria Infirmary General Manager Karen Bowman.
The appeal has a target of £100,000 and the charity has a fundraising tool kit full of ways for the local community to support the creation of something which will help relax and distract children of all ages so that their experience is the best it can be.
Carole Salmon, MCH Partnerships Fundraiser said: ‘’This is an easy way for children to get involved with this special project. The winning entries will take pride of place in Victoria Infirmary Main waiting area for all to see”.
Children have already started to create their pictures including 7 year old Alexa Chappell from Northwich who wrote at the bottom of her picture: “Children need a nice waiting area to sit in until they see the lovely Doctors and Nurses.”
The downloadable sheet is available on their website via this link https://mchcharity.org/easter-competition/
