Knutsford Floral Walk

The last few days have seen many Knutsford shops pulling out the stops to make Knutsford ‘bloom’ during what would have been the RHS Show at Tatton Park.

Although there was no formal competition or theme that didn’t stop shops putting their creative hats on and adding much needed cheer to the town centre.  The walk was kindly sponsored by Buddha Group and We Are Knutsford.  The RHS also uploaded the photos to their website Tatton Park at Home – Sharing Tatton.

Numerous shops took part in the walk including Bikes n Gear, The Prescription Service, The Tea Room, Deli Metcalfe, Jonty’s Fruit and Veg, Nicholas Austen, Cheshire Quality, Mr Simms and 438 Marketing amongst many others.  Cllr and Knutsford Town Mayor Andrew Malloy said, “It was lovely to walk round Knutsford, see the lovely blooms and get re-acquainted many of the shop and business owners as Knutsford re-opens. I urge everyone to pop in and have a walk round and of course do a little shopping!"

Caroline and Lee Williams of The Prescription Service who worked hard throughout lockdown, did a display thanking the NHS and said, “All of us at The Prescription Service are proud to be involved in the Knutsford Floral Walk 2020. This year the walk is especially important in helping bring our community together. The displays are making our beautiful town look even more beautiful and we look forward to welcoming the many visitors that we hope will visit the event. Our display celebrates our team's efforts and dedication alongside other local key-workers in helping keep our patients safe and healthy during these difficult times.”

Bikes N Gear’s effort was cycling related and Leanne Booth said, "Although there is no RHS Tatton Flower Show this year, many of the local businesses in Knutsford have taken it upon themselves to create a beautiful floral walk for shoppers and residents to admire.  Bright colourful window displays, hanging baskets and floral signs are in abundance and we are hoping that it adds some colour and vibrancy to the town.  Knutsford is a safe place to shop for all, and now that many more business are re-opening once again Knutsford is feeling alive and welcoming.  So please come down to Knutsford, pop in and say hello, and enjoy what our town has to offer.”
