Knutsford Town Council is relaunching the Knutsfordian photography exhibition this July.
The exhibition was first organised by the Promote Knutsford Forum in 2013 and followed up with Knutsfordian II in 2014. The exhibition focusses on showcasing outstanding members of the Knutsford community in quirky portraits which showcase both their professional and personal sides.
This year’s exhibition will highlight 12 community heroes who have contributed positively to Knutsford both generally and during the pandemic. Paul Worpole, local photographer, has worked with the Town Council to produce the portraits for the event, photographing all participants in his unique style.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Sunday 4th July, held in Marshall’s House on Church Hill, which is currently undergoing renovations to prepare for re-opening by new owners GGM Properties who plan to re-open the building as a wedding and leisure venue in January 2023.
The exhibition will be open for public viewing from 11am – 4pm and entry will be free, with optional donations to the Town Council to cover the costs of the event. Members of the public will not need to book to attend the event, however attendees may be asked to queue outside if the venue is at full capacity.
Alex Brown, Events Officer at the Town Council, said: “We are very excited to bring back this event that hasn’t been held since 2014. It’s a great opportunity to showcase some of the many incredible businesses, community groups and individuals that Knutsford is home to, especially after a very challenging year where many of the participants have been integral to the Covid-19 response.”
