Knutsford residents and visitors embraced a week of rejuvenation and self-care during the Knutsford Wellness Week, held from 20th to 27th January.
This new event, organised by Knutsford Town Council, aimed to promote Knutsford based health and wellbeing services within the community.
Throughout the week, participants enjoyed a diverse range of pop ups, taster sessions and workshops, from yoga and meditation to nutritional workshops and free hearing tests. Local wellness professionals generously shared their expertise, allowing attendees to experience new services without long term commitment or high cost.
A highlight of Knutsford Wellness Week was the pop ups at Lost and Found where a range of businesses showcased their services. It signified the start of wellness week on Saturday 20th January with representatives from seven business available for an informal chat.
As sponsors of the weeklong event, Geogina Chase and Hannah Saxe representing Slater & Gordon Family Law, Knutsford office, attended the pop up in Lost & Found. Georgina spoke of the company’s pride at sponsoring the event “Supporting the Knutsford community is incredibly important to us, and the week dedicated to self-care tips, therapy and workshops has just shown how many fantastic providers there are in Knutsford to support physical and mental health and wellbeing”.
Clare Webb from The Wellness Webb supported her fellow therapist Helen Jones Nutrition by attending her talk and said:
“It was a great reminder of being proactive about our health and wellness. With encouragement and support we can help ourselves to live healthier and happier rather than putting up with problems”
The week itself has been great for the different wellness practitioners to meet and share their skills and practices with each other. It’s great that we can support each other in this way”.
Alex Molloy from The Mum Club Knutsford hosted ‘Mums on the mat’ yoga session on Friday morning. Alex said:
“We had a mum focused couple of hours incorporating a gentle practice to restore and relax whilst little ones busied themselves with the help of Cheshire Nannies. Great food from Detaljer gave the mums a chance to connect afterwards. It was a lovely way to start the day!”
