Detectives investigating an attempted robbery at Greggs bakery in Handforth have charged a man.
Vincent Foley 43, from Bailey Lane Manchester, was charged with burglary and theft, attempted robbery, section 18 wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and fraud by false representation.
The charges relate to an attempted robbery at the bakery in Wilmslow Road in Handforth on 4th July and a burglary at an address in Meriton Road in Handforth on the same day.
The fraud relates to using stolen cheques on 7th July.
He was remanded to appear at Chester Magistrates on 16th July.
