Man jailed for assaulting a man in Knutsford

A man has been jailed for seriously assaulting a man in Knutsford.

Vincent Sulcuna, of no fixed address, appeared at Chester Crown Court on 21st September to be sentenced after pleading guilty to wounding without intent at an earlier hearing.

The 38-year-old was jailed for 27 months.

On the evening of 24th May 2026 Sulcuna was in an address of a vulnerable woman in Royce Court in Knutsford and was asked to leave by other residents. As a result, he seriously assaulted a man by biting his ear. 

Officers attended following multiple calls to police and could see that a man had been injured and was bleeding from his ear. An intoxicated Sulcana was subsequently arrested for assault.

DS Mitch Allford said:

“Sulcuna was told he was not welcome there because the resident was vulnerable and he retaliated with aggression.

“His intoxicated aggressive behaviour caused unnecessary alarm to other residents who called police. Now he is paying the price for his actions and is subject to a restraining order preventing him from contacting the victim and entering Royce Court.”
