The Creative Hub is a new online platform which offers a variety of services to support young people and adults with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and autism.
They officially launched the website on October 13th, with the Mayor of Cheshire East, Councillor David Edwardes, to mark the special occasion.
The Creative Hub offers a space for the people supported by David Lewis to showcase and sell their handmade creations, — from birthday cards and notebooks to artwork, personalised bottles, and more. This new platform opens up exciting opportunities for individuals to use their creativity, learn new skills and for many more people to see their skills and have the opportunity to own some of their fabulous creations.
Mayor David Edwardes added:
“I’m honoured to launch this inspiring project. The Creative Hub shines a light on the incredible skills and creativity within our community. I'm blown away by everyone here and celebrate their achievements."
John Heritage, Chief Executive of David Lewis, stated:
“The Creative Hub is a fabulous place where the people we support can showcase their talents.
What makes it truly special is that the website was designed, created, and built by the people we support themselves. This platform opens up exciting opportunities for the people we support, and I want to thank our great team for making this vision a reality.”
The charity’s Day Opportunities use person-centred approaches to help individuals focus on their interests and well-being through innovative programs and strong partnerships.
The website will feature a variety of handmade products created by individuals supported through David Lewis services, alongside information about the Creative Hub.
