The challenge is on to name the new official beer of Knutsford Music Festival.
The festival’s beer naming competition is back and open for entries. People can submit multiple entries with suggestions for what you think the name of the official beer should be. Tasting notes are provided to help inform suggestions, which can also be festival related.
The competition is run in partnership with Tatton Brewery, Knutsford’s resident brewery, who describe this year’s festival ale as ‘deliciously light with floral and spice notes plus quintessential English Hops. The perfect al fresco pint’
The competition first ran in 2018 and again in 2021. The 2021 name of the beer was ‘Don’t Worry, Be Hoppy’ which was suggested by Rachel Metcalfe, who bagged 24 cans of the ale she named. Rachel’s suggestion was one of over 60 entries to the competition.
Alex Brown, Events Officer at Knutsford Town Council which runs the festival said: “We absolutely loved reading all the entries to the competition last year and it was really hard to choose a winner! We really enjoy running this competition with Tatton Brewery and can’t wait to see what suggestions we receive this year!”
The 2022 competition is open for entries now until Friday 6th May. Entries can be submitted via the Knutsford Music Festival website, where you can also find out what’s on at this year’s festival and buy tickets to headline events.
