Cheshire Rural Crime team are working in partnership with Trading Standards from Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cheshire East Council Supported by the Community PCSO’s to help protect farmers from “cold callers”.
| An opportunity for a criminal to enter unchallenged to rural businesses, allows them to steal or provides them reconnaissance for another day. As part of the scheme farmers across the county are being offered the No Cold Calling signs to display at the entrances to their farm, warning cold callers and rogue traders to stay away. They are to be used in conjunction with signing up to Rural Watch via Cheshire Alert. A rural watch pack is also offered which includes information provided by the rural crime team and we can discuss any concerns you may have.
