Northwich Local Policing Unit are holding an event to reward children for their outstanding work in the community.
Approximately 50 children, aged between 2-16, will be receiving a recognition award, a gift-wrapped Easter egg and a certificate from police officers to reward them for their fantastic work.
The event will take place at the LPU in Northwich, and PC Panda will also be in attendance to meet the children.
Work done by the children ranges from litter picking every weekend, improving behaviour within the community and charity work including one year 4 child raising £13,000 for Cancer Research in memory of a family member.
You are invited to attend the event. Interviews will be available with Sgt Leanne Brundrett as well as the children with plenty of photo opportunities.
Some of the examples of activities what the awards are being presented for are below:
• Fund raising in the community.
• Community work
• Good Citizen
• Running a marathon for shelter
• Litter picking every weekend
• Walking 5K for suicide prevention/ mental health.
• For providing lunches for vulnerable people
• Charity work in aid of Tiny steps
• Raising £13,000 for Cancer Research
• Helping out at Rainbows club
• Improve behaviour within the community
• Baking cakes for charity, with the money going towards Ukraine
