Police are appealing for information from the public following a fatal collision in Alsager.
At 7.22am on Friday 28th March, police received reports of a collision at the junction with Crewe Road and Close Lane, Alsager.
The collision involved a Lexus NX and a fire engine, which is believed to have been responding to an emergency call.
The driver of the car, a 59-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries. She was taken to Royal Stoke Hospital and was sadly pronounced dead.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Officers are now appealing for any witnesses to contact Cheshire Police.
