Officers from Northwich Beat Team have arrested six people following a drugs raid in Winnington.
At around 8.30am on Tuesday 26 November officers executed a warrant at an address on Bowling Green Court.
Six people were arrested at the address on suspicion of drugs offences. The four women, (aged 30, 37, 46 and 48) and two men (aged 47 and 48) all remain in custody at this time.
During the raid officers recovered a number of items, including several phones, drugs paraphernalia and a black pistol.
Following the warrant Inspector Dave Levins, of Northwich Local Policing Unit, said:
“Today’s warrant was conducted as part of an ongoing investigation into a county lines drugs gang who are believed to be operating in the Northwich area.
“The impact of drugs is well known, and I hope that this arrest provides reassurance to the community that we are doing all we can to stop those believed to be involved in this behaviour."
Information from the public is vital and I’d urge anyone with any information in relation to drug-related activity in their community to get in touch.”
