Be part of Leighton Hospital’s Christmas display

People across the local area are being invited to add a personal message to Leighton Hospital’s festive window display through Shining Stars, a new Christmas campaign from Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity.

Each dedication will be printed on a gold, silver or bronze star and displayed at the hospital.

Dedications can celebrate the arrival of a new baby, recognise someone special, thank NHS staff who made a difference or remember a much-loved family member or friend. Together, the stars will celebrate the people, memories and moments that mean the most to supporters.

To have a personalised star included in the display, supporters must make their dedication by 18th November 2026.

One supporter, who has dedicated a star in memory of her son, said:

“I absolutely loved this idea when I saw it on Facebook. My son was born at Leighton and attended the nursery in the hospital grounds during his preschool years, so it felt so fitting to dedicate a star in memory of him. I really hope as many people as possible get behind the campaign and support it.”

Her star carries the message: “Treasuring each of your special 23 years with us. Forever loved Mum x”

Supporters can choose from three different stars: Gold Guiding Stars, Silver Shining Stars and Bronze Bright Stars, each carrying their own personalised message.

Money raised through Shining Stars will help Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity fund projects and enhancements that make a difference to patients, families and NHS staff locally.

Emma Robertson, Head of Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity, said:

“At this time of year, our thoughts often turn to the people we love, those we miss and those whose kindness has stayed with us.

“By dedicating a star, you’ll also help us give something back to the NHS that cares for us all, helping make care even better for patients and families, above and beyond what NHS funding alone can provide.”

Dedicate your Shining Star by 18th November 2026 and add your personal message to Leighton Hospital’s Christmas display.
