Two people who were arrested by officers from Cheshire Constabulary’s Roads and Crime Unit following a stop check near Knutsford have now been charged.
At around 1.30am on Thursday 21 October, officers stopped vehicle on the M6 southbound between junction 18 and 19.
During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers discovered a quantity of what are believed to be Class A drugs.
The driver of the car, 31-year-old Emily Philips, and the passenger, Robert Dalton, aged 38, were both arrested at the scene.
The pair have since both been charged with possession with intent to supply class A Drugs. The driver has also been charged with dangerous driving.
Philips, of Georges Road, Swanely, and Dalton, of Old Road West, Gravesend, have both been remanded in police custody and are set to appear at Cheshire Magistrates Court later today, Friday 22 October.
