Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an armed robbery in Macclesfield.
At around 8pm on Wednesday 9 October, police were called to reports of a robbery in Norton Street, Macclesfield.
The 14-year-old victim had been approached by three older teenagers, believed to be in possession of a weapon, who assaulted him before fleeing the scene.
Officers attended the area, and the three suspects were located nearby.
Two 17-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of robbery. They remain in police custody at this time.
Detective Sergeant Tom Binder said:
“Firstly, we would like to reassure the community that we have arrested three people in relation to this incident who are currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
“As part of our investigation, we would like to appeal to any witnesses to come forward. We believe there may have been a number of witnesses to this incident, and we would like to speak to them as part of our ongoing enquiries.
“The same goes for anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of what happened."
