Students and staff at All Hallows Catholic College were celebrating today, as another year group received an impressive set of GCSE and BTEC results, reflecting years of hard work, determination and resilience.
Principal Tim Beesley said:
"Today is first and foremost about celebrating the achievements of our young people. These results reflect the commitment, perseverance and character that this year group has shown throughout their time at All Hallows. We are proud not only of the grades they have achieved, but also of the way they have supported one another and embraced opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. We look forward to welcoming many of them into our Sixth Form in September as they begin the next stage of their journey."
Head of Year, Jon Mercer, added:
"It has been a privilege to work with this group of students over the past five years. They have shown great resilience, particularly given the challenges they faced in their early secondary school years, and it has been wonderful to see their efforts rewarded today. We are incredibly proud of them all."
Chair of Governors Clair Watson commented:
"On behalf of the Governing Body, I would like to congratulate all of our students on their achievements. These results are a reflection of the hard work of our young people, the dedication of our staff and the support of parents and carers. We wish our students every success as they move on to the next stage of their education and future careers."
Among the highest-achieving students this year were George O'Donnell, who achieved an outstanding ten Grade 9s and a Distinction*. Other students celebrating notable success include Lily Grey, Leila McKenna, Hannah Graves, Ann Pham, Klaudia Zawadzka, Feroze Abu Hurairah, Jack Tattersall, Chloe Lee, Mae Brooks, Isabel Silva Jeffcoat, Joseph Ricketts, Sonma Enyokwa, Adelaide Shackleford, Lucy Beaumont, Nevin Baiju, Audrey Fok, Jayna Jadvin, Jack Mercer and Anna Stanley.
Mr Beesley added:
"While statistics only ever tell part of the story, we are encouraged by the improvements we have seen in a number of areas, particularly the progress made in narrowing attainment gaps. Most importantly, however, today is about recognising the individual achievements of our students and celebrating the bright futures that lie ahead of them."
As in previous years, All Hallows joins other Cheshire East schools in focusing on celebrating the achievements, destinations and individual successes of students, rather than publishing comparative school performance tables.
